The SAS Regimental Association was established with a clear set of purposes:
Our programmes are structured under the guiding principles of Strength, Resilience, Health, Education, and Community, forming the very foundation of our unwavering commitment to this exceptional community. Our achievements lie in the ways we are able to direct support to our members. The support we provide is confidential. We pride ourselves on our ability to assist members directly or indirectly in a private and discreet manner. While our events and coffee groups foster camaraderie in a team environment, the additional support we provide is individual and sensitive to each person's requirements, an approach the Association holds to with utmost gravity.
The Assn has made significant strides in supporting our members and their whānau during tough times, providing confidential emotional and financial support. Through our collaborative network of support partners (particularly the NZSAS Trust), we've efficiently directed assistance where it's most needed. Our current priority lies in establishing the NZSAS Regimental Assn Resilience Centre, intended to swiftly assist families and create a communal space for our members to offer mutual support. This centre will be a comforting sanctuary, fostering peace and connection while operating as a care network, offering preventative and immediate aid as needed.
The Assn helps members gain access to educational funding through the NZSAS Trust. Historically, The Assn has worked with the NZSAS Trust to provide educational support for members' families, such as providing access to Outward Bound courses for children and other educational pursuits.
